The Defence School of Transport are looking to appoint a highly motivated, hard-working, and dynamic individual to take on the role of the schools admin resource manager within the Leconfield support unit. This is an exciting role offering the opportunity to build stakeholder relationships across the school and Defence College of Support. Key responsibilities: As the management administrator for the head of the quartermaster department, you will ensure the correct compliance is followed and in place, acting as both lower value procurement (LVP) and electronic procurement card (ePC) Manager for the school. Ensure the financial compliance of LVP and ePC. Show strong communication skills and have confidence to advise on finance matters to internal and external stakeholders (Defence College of Support). Manage the control of financial registers, files and documents. Analyse data to provide accurate financial forecasts. Utilise management information systems, including financial systems and ensure the correct storage of files via SharePoint. Responsible for ensuring compliance and consistency as the purchasing authority for the schools Commandant. Managing a small team of 2-3 admin support staff to achieve this objective. Oversight of supervising the processing of bill payments and take on the responsibility for the procurement of goods and services not available from other sources. Delegated authority for low value procurement (LVP) and expenditure, liaising closely with the Defence College of Support to ensure the correct usage of public funds. As liaison into the Defence College of Support you will also be responsible for the production of accurate statistics and exercise on time, including taut and realistic costings and forecasts of out-turn in correct formats. Work closely with the schools People Team, providing workforce updates on Civilian staffing within the quartermaster and support units to help drive future recruitment activities within the Leconfield support unit. As a supporting member of the schools workforce working group, you will work closely with the head of the quartermaster department to provide information to support a range of work-force activities. You may be required to undertake further training or development tosupport the business need. Person specification Essential skills required: You will be required to hold a foundation level Financial Skills Certificate in this role.
