Our client, specialists within the Civil Engineering industry, provide minor works on Railway, Infrastructure, Highways, and Civil works. They are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Basingstoke. The company aims to nearly double their turnover in the next year to £30m, and this role is key to achieving that growth.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor should ideally come from a similar-sized business experienced in managing multiple, varied, and fast-paced projects. Candidates should have at least 5 years' experience, be highly motivated, and eager to progress within a growing company. Experience with change management, working on packages, NEC and JCT contracts, and managing projects up to £500,000 is required.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
* Provide commercial management on projects and deliver tender margins with effective cost and value management.
* Manage reactive and planned maintenance contracts.
* Handle all commercial and contractual matters across multiple projects.
* Assist estimating and operations with developing bid submissions.
* Conduct forecasting and cost/value reporting.
* Identify and tender for suppliers/sub-contractors.
* Procure resources to meet programme deadlines and tender requirements.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements
* Higher-level qualification (HNC or Degree) in Quantity Surveying.
* At least 5 years of commercial experience, preferably in infrastructure projects within the construction industry, such as rail and highways.
* Strong technical skills related to Quantity Surveying.
* Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
* Experience in cost management and change management.
* A team player who collaborates effectively with others.
* Problem-solving skills and decision-making ability to enhance organizational effectiveness.
* Holds a full UK driving license.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Salary & Benefits
* Salary up to £65,000.
* Discretionary bonus up to 15%.
* Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays, rising to 33.
