Where will I be working?
Welcome to Parkview. We are a 24-hour Residential Care Home providing care for people with Learning Disabilities for over 10 years. We accommodate up to six people with profound Learning Disabilities. Our services are tailored to enable independence and to help residents live healthy, active lives.
Shift Patterns
This is a 24-hour service; therefore, flexibility is essential. You will be required to work a mix of day and night shifts.
Drivers are preferred for this role.
Role Responsibilities
What will I be doing?
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. Your duties will include:
* Promoting independence among the people we support
* Supporting daily activities, including cleaning, cooking, outings, or holidays
* Organizing activities within the home and community
* Developing residents' life skills and personal interests
* Ensuring residents' safety and health
* Assisting with personal care needs
* Supporting medication management
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring

What skills and qualities do I need?
Knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs is beneficial but not essential. Essential qualities include:
* Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic
* Flexible, patient, and non-judgemental
* A great team player with energy
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as manual handling
