The key responsibilities are: Strategic Leadership: Fully lead and manage the school's Careers and Employability strategy, ensuring the school meets all Eight Gatsby Benchmarks. Impartial Guidance: Provide and oversee the delivery of impartial, high-quality Careers Advice, including individual interviews and action planning for students. Networking & Events: Build and maintain strong links with employability contacts, businesses, and FE/HE providers. Lead key annual events like Employability Fairs and Mock Interviews. Data & Compliance: Manage Careers funding, monitor destinations data (NEET risk), and report directly to the Senior Leadership Team and Governors. Curriculum Development: Review and update the PSHCE Careers programme across Years 7-13. Requirements: Essential Requirements Qualification: Educated to degree level in a relevant subject. Willingness to obtain the Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development (if not already held). Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills (to staff, students, and parents). Desirable Requirements Previous experience working as a Careers Advisor in a secondary school setting. Possession of the Level 6 Qualification in CEIAG, registered with the CDI.
