We are looking for a Material Planner to join an inudstry leading engineering & manufacturing company for a 12 month contract. In this role, you will manage production schedules, maintain inventory levels, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in production planning and inventory management. Key Responsibilities: Production Scheduling: Create and manage production orders based on sales forecasts and business needs. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels for materials and parts, ensuring everything is available for production. Pick List Generation: Prepare and issue lists for warehouse and production teams to ensure timely material availability. Transaction Monitoring: Ensure all production and material transactions are accurately recorded in the MRP system. Issue Reporting: Report any risks related to production or materials and work with teams to find solutions. Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to streamline processes. KPI Reporting: Track and report on key performance metrics. BOM Management: Keep Bill of Materials (BOM) data updated to support planning and forecasting. Procurement Coordination: Work with the procurement team to ensure accurate and timely ordering of materials. Engineering Change Management: Manage changes to BOMs and coordinate with relevant teams. Project Updates: Provide status updates on material availability and project timelines.Qualifications: Experience in material planning, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.
