We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader at our Rotherham, South Yorkshire site working Days.
Position Overview:
The Warehouse Team Leader role will be a split role, where you will be required to work in the Office providing support to the Logistics Manager in the preparation of the relevant despatch documentation in a timely and accurate manner, for example: material test certificates, packing lists, dispatch notes, identification labels, shipping schedules, letters of credit, licenses, declarations transport and customs documentation.
The other half of the role is working in the Warehouse, where you will pack, wrap and despatch finished goods, loading of containers and organising stock to ensure all products are scanned into the D365 ERP system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assisting the Logistics Manager in the Warehouse operational duties which will include;
Communicating with customers, haulage and transport companies, to obtaining prices, booking shipments, completing customs paperwork and planning shipments.
· Preparation of the relevant despatch documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
· Provide holiday cover for the Logistics Manager.
· Manage and mentor other Warehouse Operatives.
· Picking/wrapping of all outgoing sales orders in accordance with customer specification.
· Loading and unloading of deliveries by hand or with a Fork-Lift truck.
· Ensure all outgoing orders are quality checked, badged/marked in accordance with customer requirements/regulations.
· Ensure all orders are accurately picked/despatched efficiently to allow strict lead times to be met.
· Despatching and checking of all outgoing deliveries ensuring all required computerised D365 ERP system is completed.
· Reporting all discrepancies to incoming deliveries i.e. goods missing/damaged.
· Assist the Logistics Manager with all stock control activities within the Warehouse.
· Weighing & scanning dispatched product into the ERP D365 system.
· Responsible for weekly checks and routine maintenance on Fork-Lift Trucks
· Ensure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines.
· Responsible for monthly racking and step/ ladder inspections
· Other duties as required
Position Requirements:
* Experience of working within a factory environment ideally within the steel industry.
* Experienced FLT Driver with current FLT License.
* Good communication and numeracy skills
* Good computer skills for data entry purpose
* Ability to perform multiple tasks
* Good interpersonal skills, particularly team working.
* Willingness to work shifts and additional hours in order to complete your duties
