Job Responsibilities
* Assist in gathering information and providing equipment for pre‑operative patients awaiting surgery under the guidance and supervision of Occupational Therapists.
* Work as part of a wider multi‑disciplinary team.
* Assist with evaluation of the effectiveness of Occupational Therapy input using validated outcome measures and with data management and input.
* Communicate and collaborate with patients, carers, other health‑care professionals and external agencies regularly, demonstrating excellent communication and team‑working skills.
* Multi‑task in a busy environment and use initiative to manage workload flexibly to meet the demands of the service.
* Assist in implementing an AI chatbot into the planned surgery pathway for Occupational Therapy.
* Assist in providing an effective service delivery within the speciality.
* Assist in managing an agreed caseload of patients within the service speciality area under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
* Follow recognised professional standards, the agreed therapy pathway and best practice in the designated area of speciality, liaising with the Occupational Therapist regularly or as necessary.
Qualifications
* Experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of Occupational Therapy is preferred.
