Colchester, Essex
Flexible Work | Immediate Start | Build Your Experience
Looking to teach without the full-time pressure?
Whether you’re an ECT finding your feet or an experienced teacher wanting flexibility, this is your chance to step into brilliant KS1 classrooms across Colchester, grow your confidence, and build a CV that really stands out.
No long-term commitment. No endless meetings. Just great teaching, on your terms.
What’s the role?
We’re looking for enthusiastic KS1 teachers to work on a day-to-day or short block basis in welcoming primary schools across Colchester.
You might cover:
* A Year 1 class for the week
* A few days in Year 2 while a teacher is on training
* Short-term sickness cover
* Pre-booked cover across a half term
It’s varied, flexible, and perfect if you want to experience different school settings while sharpening your classroom skills.
Why this is brilliant for your CV
Day-to-day and short-term work isn’t “just supply”. It’s real, hands-on experience in a range of environments.
You’ll:
* Gain experience across different KS1 year groups
* Build behaviour management confidence quickly
* Adapt to different teaching styles and school cultures
* Expand your professional network
* Strengthen your classroom presence
For ECTs, it’s a great way to see what kind of school suits you before committing long-term.
For experienced teachers, it’s flexibility without stepping away from the classroom.
