Overview
At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Design Delivery Project Manager at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site.
Responsibilities
- Leading the client-side project and engineering team to deliver integrated design packages across buildings, MEP, civil and structural disciplines.
- Supporting the wider Project Manager in administering multiple NEC4 design contracts, ensuring schedule, scope, cost, and risk targets are met.
- Working closely with stakeholders to define requirements, shaping technical solutions and ensuring designs align with operational needs.
- Interpreting and analysing supply chain data to support planning, decision-making, and performance reporting.
- Managing budgets, risks, documentation, and deliverables, while offering direction and support to Project Managers and Engineers.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with the majority of time spent onsite at Devonport.
Essential Experience
- Experience working in complex project environments, ideally in heavy civil engineering or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of NEC4 contracts.
- Experience delivering safety-critical structures or services, nuclear licensed site experience is an advantage.
- Proven capability in design delivery, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to interpret technical or supply chain information and turn it into practical actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Project Management or Construction Management - Desirable
- APM Project Management Qualification (or equivalent).
- NEC4 Accredited Project Manager - Desirable
