Job Role: Security Supervisor (Team Leader) Working Hours: Average 42 hours per week, varied schedule Pay: £14.31 per hour Location: Marlands Shopping Centre, Southampton, SO14 7SJ Reporting to: Contracts Manager Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services for an experienced Security Supervisor to join our established security team based at The Marlands Shopping Centre in Southampton. This is a leadership focused role, responsible for the day to day supervision, management, and performance of the on-site security team. As Security Supervisor, you will ensure all operations are delivered to a high standard, maintaining compliance, professionalism, and a strong customer focused approach at all times. You will also act as a key point of contact on-site, upholding high standards of safety, security, and service delivery. You will act as the primary on site leader and point of escalation, supporting your team, driving performance, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for all stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and decision making abilities, along with excellent communication skills, and the confidence to manage incidents and team performance effectively. A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential, and a CCTV licence is highly desirable. Duties include: Supervise and support the on-site security team, ensuring all staff perform their duties effectively and in line with site requirements Oversee all day-to-day security operations, ensuring effective service delivery, adherence to safety protocols, and accountability of keys and equipment at all times Ensure the protection of the client’s property, people, and assets by delivering security services in full accordance with Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and site-specific procedures Minimise loss and risk by identifying and reporting irregularities, and addressing breaches of policy in a professional and proactive manner Support and oversee Control Room and CCTV operations, ensuring all systems, records, and documentation are maintained in full compliance with GDPR requirements, liaising with senior management where required Take ownership of health and safety compliance by ensuring all inspections and patrols are completed, maintaining site standards and addressing any risks or hazards promptly Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all incidents, accidents, damage, and near misses, including immediate escalation to the client and completion of detailed investigation reports Ensure all defects, faults, and maintenance issues are promptly identified and reported Promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for staff, customers, visitors, and tenants, leading by example and setting high standards of professionalism Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently and professionally, ensuring appropriate escalation if required and accurate reporting of all incidents Requirements Full 5-year employment checkable history – ESSENTIAL Valid frontline SIA licence (DS or SG) – ESSENTIAL Valid CCTV licence - DESIREABLE Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner Flexible to meet the job requirements Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Smart appearance and be well-groomed Reliable and punctual High level of enthusiasm and passion Ability to work in a fast-moving environment Benefits Access to a range of nationally recognised courses to help further your career, via the Anchor Academy Access to SIA and First Aid training at discounted rates, with financial support available Auto Enrolment Pension (if earnings reach the minimum requirement for auto-enrolment) Stream - access to pay as you earn it Cycle to Work Scheme Available Full uniform provided Free Employee Assistance Programme 24/7 including access to counselling Hospital Saturday Fund Reward and Recognition awards What’s Next?
