The CompanyA well established global manufacturer, as they recruit a Credit Controller to manage one of their key US ledgers from their North East site based in Northumberland. The business is going through a significant period of organisational change and process improvement, making this a genuinely impactful role for someone who enjoys ownership, complexity, and problem-solving.The RoleAs the Credit Controller you will be responsible for managing a £10million US ledger. Key Duties:• Daily cash posting and invoice processing• Chasing and resolving overdue debt• Reconciling statements and investigating discrepancies• Working with self billing customers and portal-based accounts • Monthly production of period end reports, including OTC reporting, provision requirements etc.• Weekly production and maintenance of overdue report• Production of periodic cash flow forecast quarterly and monthly as required• End of period closure and reconciliation• Perform and evaluate an annual review of all AR active accounts, liaising with the Sales teams to ensure limits are adequate and in line with current and forecasted business trends for operating company.• Weekly review of early warning indicator system and timely processing of affected customer credit limits.• Managing credit limits, approvals and supporting shipping release• Contributing to wider AR improvement projectsYou will work closely with who provides strong hands-on support and development. The US site is currently challenging, so the role suits someone who is proactive, analytical and confident handling complexity.The Person• Experience in finance, ideally including credit control• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables & VLOOKUPs essential)• Comfortable with data-heavy work and detailed investigation• Excellent written communication – lots of email interaction with customers & stakeholders• Experience in manufacturing or ERP systems is beneficial but not essentialThe BenefitsBonus: Discretionary annual bonus (company performance-based)Holidays: 25 days + UK bank holidays.
