MCS Group is working with a global technology organisation to recruit a DevSecOps Engineer for their Belfast hub. This is a broad, hands on role at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, security engineering, and DevSecOps. Ideal for someone who wants to own the full security lifecycle across a modern multi cloud environment.What you'll be doingDesigning and maintaining secure cloud environments including IAM, firewalls, network segmentation and encryptionImplementing and managing native security services across AWS (Security Hub, GuardDuty, Config, Control Tower) and Azure (Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Key Vault)Building and managing security controls and infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormationIntegrating SAST, DAST and IaC scanning into CI/CD pipelines to enforce security gates before deploymentConfiguring cloud native logging and monitoring to detect incidents and trigger automated responsesManaging virtual asset inventory and establishing BCP/DR and backup proceduresSupporting cloud platform onboarding and offboarding and optimising workflows and user experienceCollaborating with DevOps and IT teams to embed security best practices across the organisationCreating and maintaining runbooks, SOPs, incident response playbooks and escalation proceduresWhat we're looking for3+ years hands on experience in a DevSecOps, cloud security or SRE role with a strong security focusProficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation for secure infrastructure provisioningSolid experience with AWS and/or Azure native security services and security modelsStrong scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell for automation and remediationPractical knowledge of IAM, VPC/VNet configuration, firewalls, WAFs and data encryptionUnderstanding of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipeline integrationClear communicator comfortable explaining technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiencesNice to haveBackground in regulated industries or experience designing infrastructure to meet compliance frameworksAWS Certified Security Specialty or Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer AssociateExperience with AI enhanced cloud security tooling Skills:AWS Azure Terraform CI/CD PythonBenefits:Work From HomeWHJS1_NI
