Got a background in PE and wondering how to bring that energy into the classroom?
This one’s right up your street.
We’re working with brilliant schools in Bath and Northeast Somertset who are looking for a Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, structure, and a bit of bounce to the school day. If you’re used to leading, motivating, and keeping young people engaged, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting pupils in class and during activities
Helping keep students focused, engaged, and on track
Leading small group sessions, sometimes with a sporty or active twist
Supporting behaviour in a calm, confident way
Getting involved in playground, PE, or extracurricular activities
Why this role works so well for PE backgrounds:
You already know how to lead a group, build rapport quickly, and keep energy levels high. Those skills are gold in a classroom.
Whether it’s encouraging participation, managing behaviour, or boosting confidence, what you’ve learned in sport transfers perfectly.
What the school offers:
A supportive team who value proactive, hands-on staff
Opportunities to get involved in sports and enrichment activities
Training and development to build your classroom skills
A role where you’re active, not stuck behind a desk all day
What we’re looking for:
A background in PE, Sport, Coaching, or similar
Confident, positive, and able to take initiative
Great with young people, firm but fair
A team player who’s happy to get stuck in
What you’ll get with Protocol Education:
Free CPD, including behaviour and SEND training
A consultant who listens and finds roles that suit you
Flexible opportunities in schools that value support staff
You’re not “just” a Teaching Assistant.
You’re the one who gets pupils involved, builds confidence, and turns a tough day around.
Sound like you? Let’s get you in front of the right school.
