Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £12.18 per hour plus benefits
Hours: 7.00 am – 3.00 pm, 8.00 am – 4.00 pm, 1:00 pm– 9.00 pm, 2:00 pm– 10:00 pm
Contract: Zero hours, Bank
Driving Requirement: A valid full UK manual driving license is desirable.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate exposure to two of the following areas of expertise:
* Visual impairment
* High complex physical health needs
* Autism, mental health and learning disabilities

We're looking for individuals to join our colleague team who can stay calm under pressure, who are enthusiastic and take a proactive approach, and handle behaviours that others might find challenging. If you have a manual UK driving license and are comfortable driving alternative vehicles, you're exactly who we're looking for.
What will you be doing?
As a Support Worker, you'll be more than just support – you'll be a key part of someone's journey towards living their best life. Here's what you'll be doing:
* Daily Care & Support: Helping with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and other daily tasks.
* Building Relationships: Getting to know the people you support, understanding their needs, and helping them live life on their own terms.
* Empowering Independence: Assisting with personal goals, from daily activities to long-term aspirations, and encouraging creative exploration.
* Social Engagement: Supporting activities like holidays, social events, and hobbies, ensuring everyone can enjoy what they love doing.
* Respect & Dignity: Ensuring that the individuals and their families are treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and equality.
Who you will be Supporting?
At Waterside House, we support 14 individuals with various disabilities including visual impairment, autism, physical disabilities, mental health, and learning disabilities. Here are some of their interests and hobbies:
John* is a music lover and has his own radio show that can be accessed via the internet. He loves talking about music, taking song requests, and discussing the local weather. He enjoys talking and making others happy.
Jan* is an avid Wycombe Wanderers football fan. He attends all their home matches and loves playing the Ukulele, despite being visually impaired. He was a member of the Salvation Army and played in their band.
Jane* loves Reiki, art, animals, and music. She enjoys pamper days and is a big Coldplay fan, knowing all the lyrics by heart.
Joe* is a social butterfly who hates being alone. She has vast knowledge of music and artists, can identify songs from 'NOW' albums, and knows all the lyrics. She names her electric wheelchair Katy Perry, and everything in her life is music-themed.
Josh* is highly independent, volunteered as a tour guide, and is a history enthusiast. He enjoys socialising and swimming.
Jake* is very personable, volunteers at a hospital, is a gym enthusiast, and a positive influence at home. He was invited to Buckingham Palace to represent SeeAbility.
Jon* is an independent electric wheelchair user who enjoys cinema, meeting friends, and has achieved skydiving with our support.
