The role is based in Edinburgh with hybrid working, also with frequent trips to Glasgow.
Iâm excited to share a permanent opportunity within my clients Energy Teamâa group dedicated to reducing energy costs, improving procurement, driving efficiencies, and supporting renewable generation across the business.
This role plays a key part in ensuring the organisation pays only for the energy they consumeâaccurately, efficiently, and on time.
đ§ Key Responsibilities
đ Managing the contract with the external Bureau Service to ensure energy invoices are validated accurately and align with agreed standards.
đ Overseeing the accuracy and timely payment of all energy bills, and implementing processes to minimise errors.
đ Handling billing queries with electricity suppliers, resolving discrepancies, and keeping records up to date.
đ Making sure all sites are on the optimal tariff and capacity level by analysing usage patterns and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
đ§ Essential Skills
âStrong report writing and excellent written communication.
âAbility to analyse complex data, identify trends/anomalies, and solve problems.
âConfidence working with Excel and databases to interpret and manage data.
âSkilled at presenting technical information in a clear, accessible way.
âStrong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
âFull UK Driving Licence
đ Desirable Skills
âKnowledge of industrial/commercial energy charging structures.
âUnderstanding of the utilities environment.
âExperience with financial reporting or accounting processes.
âFamiliarity with Energy Management Database tools (Optima, SystemsLink, TEAMS, Stark, STC, etc.).
âDegree-level education in a commercial or analytical field.
