Role Description
As a B1 / B2 Engineer, you will perform allocated maintenance tasks safely and securely, certify these tasks in accordance with regulatory requirements, and supervise small teams to accomplish maintenance objectives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Efficiently carry out maintenance tasks and lead teams to uphold high standards of safety, reliability, and maintenance quality.
2. Act as the primary communication link between the team, Technical Control (AMS/AMM), and third-party interests to facilitate efficient and timely maintenance.
3. Ensure accurate certification of tasks and supervise third-party suppliers.
4. Demonstrate leadership, promote efficient working practices, and foster a positive working environment.
5. Engage meaningfully with team members to ensure proper supervision.
6. Maintain awareness of cost control and budget management.
7. Support revenue generation and cost control initiatives.
8. Ensure compliance with Engineering safety standards.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must have demonstrable supervisory skills and experience as a certifying engineer, holding a CAA B2 license or a B1 license with company approvals for at least one of the following aircraft types: A330 (RR Trent), A350 (RR Trent), B787 (RR Trent).
A proactive attitude, strong planning skills, excellent communication abilities, and effective team leadership are essential. The ability to inspire confidence, address problems confidently, and demonstrate flexibility when necessary are highly valued. A full, valid UK driving licence is also required.
