We’re now looking for a proactive and customer-focused Junior 1st Line SupportTechnician to join our friendly internal IT team. The Role
This varied role has two key areas of focus:
1. Providing IT support to our customers via telephone, remote access, or on-site visits.
2. Carrying out administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of our business operations.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies, helping clients resolve technical issues while developing your own knowledge and confidence in the process
Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly to customer queries by email and telephone.
* Provide 1st line telephone and remote support to customers.
* Carry out occasional on-site visits to client premises when required.
* Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in the workshop or office.
* Prepare and provide quotes for customer hardware and software requirements.
* Advise customers on IT infrastructure improvements based on their needs.
* Perform half-day server maintenance sessions, both remotely and on-site.
* Log, update, and close support tickets with full details of work carried out.
* Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes and manage customer orders.
* Raise purchase orders, sales orders, and move them through to invoicing.
* Raise invoices and ensure smooth communication with the accounts team.
* Study towards and complete relevant IT exams and certifications.
* Support any additional technical or administrative requirements as needed by TLP Technology.
About You
* A basic understanding of IT support but someone who is willing to learn.
* Good understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving ability and calm under pressure.
* Positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and grow within the team.
