Job Title: Religious Education (RE) Teacher
Location: Sheffield, S5
Salary: £155 - £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and reflective Religious Education Teacher for a dynamic school in Sheffield. This is a rewarding opportunity for an RE Teacher who is committed to promoting tolerance, spiritual growth, and critical thinking in today’s diverse world.
Responsibilities as an RE Teacher:
* Deliver engaging RE lessons across Key Stages that reflect a broad and balanced curriculum.
* Foster respectful debate and thoughtful reflection on moral, philosophical, and religious issues.
* Plan and assess effectively in line with national curriculum and exam board standards.
* Encourage students to consider different viewpoints and develop empathy and understanding.
* Participate in whole-school activities and contribute to the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of pupils.
Requirements for RE Teacher:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Experience teaching Religious Education in a school setting is desirable.
* Strong subject knowledge and ability to engage students in meaningful discussions.
* Effective behaviour and classroom management skills.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with all gaps explained.
