1. Job SummaryThe Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments, functional limitations, or movement-related conditions. This role focuses on restoring mobility, reducing pain, improving functional independence, and preventing disability through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.The Physical Therapist works collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plansProvide therapeutic interventions including exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and functional trainingMonitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document outcomes accuratelyEducate patients and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and injury preventionSupervise and guide Physical Therapist Assistants and support staff as applicableMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standardsCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient careEnsure patient safety, proper body mechanics, and adherence to infection control practicesMaintain treatment equipment and ensure a safe therapeutic environmentComply with ethical standards, state practice acts, and healthcare regulationsRequired QualificationsDoctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited programMust have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.Current Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure in the applicable stateStrong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and rehabilitation techniquesAbility to assess, diagnose, and develop evidence-based treatment plansExcellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skillsAbility to work with patients across diverse age groups and physical conditionsProficiency with clinical documentation and electronic health record systemsPreferred QualificationsPrior clinical experience in outpatient, inpatient, rehabilitation, or acute care settingsExperience treating orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, or post-surgical conditionsStrong collaboration and leadership skillsCertificationsCPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
