Senior Lawyer needed in Bolton Paying £30 per hr ref 000A A9E9 / 1 Full time hours on a temporary basis Key Responsibilities Deliver clear, accurate oral and written legal advice on procedural issues, policy matters, and individual case studies involving child protection. Assess relevant law, evidence, and expert opinions; advise on possible courses of action and brief Counsel where appropriate, including participation in Child Protection Meetings and Statutory Reviews. Support teams in drafting and revising policy and procedure documents to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Provide timely legal advice in response to queries from senior stakeholders. Advise on legislative changes, government guidelines, and case law developments impacting service provision. Identify and mitigate legal risks that could lead to litigation or maladministration. Advise on specific case matters, evaluating evidence and recommending the most appropriate form of proceedings in relation to Child Protection. Act as legal advisor to Adoption and Fostering Panels or equivalent bodies. Represent the organization at hearings and provide expert advocacy as required.
