OUR HOTEL

Hotel Indigo and the Staybridge Suites, with 187 keys, are housed in 19th-century converted linen mills, paying homage to their industrial heritage in every detail. A Day in the Life of a Sous Chef at Our Hotel

What you'll be doing...

* Step up as the right-hand to the Head Chef, bringing creativity, precision, and passion to every dish.
* Take charge of daily kitchen operations, ensuring prep, cooking, and service run smoothly and efficiently.
* Lead and inspire the kitchen team, sharing your culinary expertise, mentoring junior chefs, and fostering a collaborative environment.
* Contribute to menu development, experimenting with new flavors and seasonal ingredients to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
* Monitor inventory, oversee ordering, and manage stock levels to ensure readiness for service.
* Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency.
* Uphold hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards, creating a safe workspace for all.


What We Need From You

* Experienced chef with a background in fast-paced kitchens and a passion for excellent food.
* Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and developing the team.
* Creativity and enthusiasm for experimenting with flavors and menu ideas.
* Excellent organizational skills, from managing inventory to workflow management.
* Attention to detail to ensure top-tier presentation and quality.
* A positive team player ready to support and jump in wherever needed.
* High energy and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
