The Health Care Assistant plays an integral role within the Practice Nurse Team, as well as supporting the wider clinical teams, in the delivery of nursing services. They work as part of the Practice's multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice, to our patient population. The Health Care Assistant will deliver and assist clinical staff with the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the Health Care Assistant will include phlebotomy, assessing and the monitoring of patients with longterm conditions and promoting general health and well-being. They will oversee the processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses and vaccinate as part of the yearly flu vaccination programme. Qualifications
* GCSE Grade C / 4 or above in English and Maths
* Qualified in Phlebotomy
* Qualified to Any of the below:
* Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
* NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) in Health and Social Care.
* BTEC or CACHE qualifications
