ABC Teachers is looking for skilled SEN Classroom Support to join a specialist SEN School in Birmingham on a full-time basis.
About the role
* Develop strong, professional relationships with the pupils to understand their range of complex needs and how best to assist them in school.
* Adapt approaches to meet individual learning needs and create an inclusive environment.
* Ability to work confidently with students with a range of Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Prepare the classroom for learning and assist the class teacher with the delivery of planned lessons.
* Work with the class teacher to help pupils, as well as working in small groups and 1:1 with students when required.
* Full time position available for an immediate start.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Support Assistant you will:
* Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs.
* Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
* Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
* Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* At least two years of experience supporting students with special educational needs.
