The Bank Housekeeper supports the care home by maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents living with dementia. This role provides flexible, as‑needed cover to ensure high standards of hygiene are upheld throughout the home.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out daily cleaning of resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms and staff spaces to infection‑control standards.
2. Handle laundry tasks, including washing, drying, ironing and distributing clothing and linens.
3. Use cleaning products safely and in line with COSHH guidelines.
4. Work sensitively around residents, supporting their comfort, dignity and routines.
5. Report maintenance issues or concerns to senior staff promptly.
6. Follow all safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality procedures.
This role requires kindness, patience and an understanding of how dementia affects daily life. You’ll help create a homely, reassuring atmosphere where residents feel safe and cared for.
