Our Alliance Finance Department of 70 provide payroll, purchasing and exchequer, and accountancy services across Devon & Cornwall Police and Dorset Police following our strategic collaboration. An opportunity has arisen for an Accounting Technician to join our Accountancy Team. Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will provide a professional technical financial and business management service, ensuring all processes are compliant and meet the statutory accounting standards. This includes the control, proper utilisation and employment of the organisation’s resources and assets. You will provide proactive financial support to specific areas of business activity to support organisational projects, and relevant, timely and accurate financial information to budget managers. Experience of analysing, interpreting, and presenting a wide range of detailed financial data gathered from multiple sources is essential. This should include experience of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the use of internal financial systems to compile information. This role can be based at our Devon and Cornwall Police Headquarters in Exeter, Dorset Police Headquarters in Winfrith. This is a hybrid role which means there is an opportunity for regular home working. Part-time hours are considered.
