Rate of Pay: £25.26 - £33.73 per hour
Summary:
The Internal Communications and Engagement Officer will plan, deliver, and evaluate internal communications and staff engagement campaigns that support the councils Strategic Plan. The role will work closely with senior officers, service leads, and communications colleagues to ensure communications are effective, data-driven, culturally competent, and aligned with council priorities.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, lead, deliver, and evaluate internal communications campaigns across digital, marketing, events, and face-to-face channels
* Provide strategic communications advice to senior officers and service leads
* Support staff engagement projects and internal initiatives
* Create engaging content including written copy, videos, social media, email communications, and marketing materials
* Manage and contribute to internal communications channels such as intranet, email, and internal social media
* Commission and oversee design and production of printed and digital materials
Essentials:
* Proven experience delivering impactful communications across multiple channels
* Experience of staff engagement and internal communications
* Strong ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling content
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
