Role Details
The Project Manager / Business Analyst (PM/BA) role is a critical position within the IT Projects Team, reporting to the Head of Project Delivery. You will be responsible for defining and delivering high-quality IT projects across the firm, leading multiple projects from inception to completion, and ensuring they meet strategic goals and deliver value.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Manage projects by planning, scheduling, and facilitating meetings from inception to completion.
2. Gather and analyze business requirements, identify improvements, and scope projects.
3. Manage change aspects, develop adjustments, train staff, and secure support.
4. Support prioritization of projects through business requests.
5. Establish and maintain project governance, including objectives, scope, and progress reporting.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver outcomes and ensure project controls are in place.
7. Build and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring project objectives are clear and on track.
8. Facilitate stakeholder workshops, review requirements, and develop business cases.
9. Ensure technical solutions meet business needs and benefits are realized.
10. Contribute to continuous improvement of project lifecycle and artefacts.
11. Work collaboratively with IT to implement change and ensure smooth transitions.
12. Manage external resources and prioritize information security considerations.
Skill Set
1. Experience managing IT/business change projects from inception to service transition.
2. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analysis skills.
3. Proficiency with business analysis tools and techniques.
4. Flexible delivery approach and knowledge of supplier selection and contract negotiation.
5. Ability to build credibility, manage risks, and develop processes.
6. Strong planning, organizational, and mentoring skills.
7. Experience with legal processes and systems is desirable.
