The Junior Bid Coordinator/Writer will provide administrative, coordination, and writing support to the Bids Team in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. This entry‑level role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals just starting a career in bids and proposals, offering hands‑on experience in bid processes and the opportunity to progress toward more advanced bid writing and coordination responsibilities.
Team Overview
The Bids department plays a vital role in driving business growth by securing new projects across renewables and MEP sectors. The team collaborates closely with engineering, commercial, and project delivery teams to prepare high‑quality, competitive proposals for sustainable energy and infrastructure solutions. With a focus on precision, strategy, and innovation, the department ensures each submission aligns with client needs, industry standards, and the company’s commitment to sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, process, record, and track incoming tenders and alerts via tender portals.
* Identify and summarise key tender opportunities in line with agreed criteria, saving supporting documentation for review by senior team members.
* Provide administrative support to the team, including coordinating meetings, diary management, minute‑taking, and report collation.
* Maintain tendering/response portals with up‑to‑date company information and documents.
* Assist with populating pre‑qualification and selection questionnaires under guidance, ensuring timely submission.
* Support formatting, quality control, and proofreading of tender applications and supporting materials.
* Source, provide, and update information/documents from the Bid Library, including templates, to streamline the bids process.
* Assist with drafting and proofreading basic bid content (e.g., CVs, case studies, standard responses) under supervision.
* Conduct research and due diligence projects as requested by the Head of Bids or Bid Managers.
* Maintain and update standard tender supporting materials and the Bid Content Library under guidance.
* Contribute to post‑submission lessons‑learnt updates and basic improvements to library content.
* Any other reasonable duties as required to support the team.
