About the role The Respiratory and Sleep service is part of Medical Services and provides a range of sleep diagnostic and treatment options for adults with sleep disorder breathing. Depending on the role, responsibilities may include some or all of the following: Work as part of a team coordinating home-based sleep studies Help maintain a smooth and efficient service, including timely response to patient enquiries Troubleshooting patient problems with their masks and machines Analyse and report on sleep studies in a timely manner, following international standards Facilitate Group CPAP education sessions and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) follow-up clinics in Rotorua, and twice a month in Taupo Liaise with the Respiratory-Sleep physicians with regard to the management of complex sleep patients, including adherence to the NZTA Guidelines for Medical Aspects of Fitness to Drive About you The successful applicant will have: a relevant postgraduate qualification, current professional registration and Annual Practicing Certificate at least two years’ experience working in clinical physiology within your specialty area strong clinical, diagnostic and analytical skills with a commitment to evidence-based practice a positive, proactive approach with strong problem-solving and prioritisation skills. Salary range This role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 £33,280 GBP ($77,087 NZD) p.a and Step 8 £47,580 GBP ($110,210 NZD) p.a pro-rata of the Degree-Based Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.
