The Role
We’re expanding and recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with ASD students in a calm, nurturing, and adaptive setting.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting individual and small-group learning activities tailored for ASD learners
2. Helping pupils engage comfortably and confidently in the classroom
3. Working closely with teachers to implement differentiated learning strategies
4. Providing emotional support and fostering a sense of safety and empowerment
5. Liaising with families and contributing to personalised education plans
6. Maintaining a structured but flexible classroom atmosphere that responds to student needs
Who We’re Looking For
7. Fluent Welsh speaker – Welsh language skills are essential
8. Passionate about supporting ASD pupils and understanding their unique needs
9. Strong communication skills with both children and their families
10. Calm, patient, and empathetic, with the ability to adapt to changing situations
11. A team player, eager to collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals
12. Ideally, previous experience working with ASD children in educational settings
