They are now seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join their expanding team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in PHP and JavaScript, particularly in a raw PHP environment without modern frameworks. Key Responsibilities
* Work within a cloud-based business management system that supports the automotive sector.
* Maintain and improve an established stock control, CRM, and order processing system used by hundreds of clients across the UK.
* Collaborate closely with the existing development team
* Assist with the modernisation of legacy code, ensuring stability while preparing the system for future enhancements.
* Contribute to long-term strategic improvements, including the potential AI integration.
Technical Requirements
* Strong proficiency in PHP and JavaScript, with no reliance on frameworks such as Laravel—this role requires expertise in raw PHP and vanilla JS.
* Experience working with MySQL for database management.
* Familiarity with procedural PHP, though some object-oriented programming (OOP) experience is advantageous.
* Understanding of stock control and accounting systems, including discount calculations applied via JavaScript on the frontend.
* Prior experience developing API integrations, with knowledge of external system connections and data flow between platforms.
Additional Details
* Location: Remote, with an office space in the North West for those who prefer an on-site work environment.
* Salary: Approximately £35,000–£40,000, with clear progression opportunities in both title and financial growth.
