Role Summary
Libraries today are dynamic, digital community spaces. As Interim Head of Library Operations, you’ll oversee day-to-day performance, drive service transformation, and ensure every resident receives a consistent, high-quality experience.
This position requires strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and a proven ability to deliver large-scale change across customer-facing teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead operational delivery and customer experience across all library branches.
* Analyse data and customer insights to identify improvements and resolve service issues.
* Implement and sustain operational and cultural change initiatives.
* Maintain Health and Safety standards, managing risk across multiple locations.
* Identify new income opportunities and support financial sustainability.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to achieve strategic service goals.
About You
* Educated to RQF Level 6 (Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent in business management or a related field.
* Significant experience managing customer-facing operations across dispersed teams.
* Proven success in delivering change and service improvement projects.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams.
