Job Description
The Accounts Payable Assistant role is initially a 12-month contract, which could be extended. It will be hybrid working—3 days in Stockport office and 2 days remote. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, key responsibilities will include:
* Processing all payments in a timely manner
* Ensuring cash is posted and allocated accurately daily
* Monitoring housekeeping activities, e.g., payments on account and aged balances
* Reviewing and transmitting received documents to relevant teams promptly and accurately for processing
* Being a key point of contact for business stakeholder relationships
* Resolving internal/external customer/supplier issues
* Highlighting risks in processes and controls, reporting and presenting options to mitigate them
The Successful Applicant
To apply for this role, you should:
* Ideally have some previous accounts payable or purchase ledger experience
* Be able to commit to a 12-month contract initially
* Be able to commute to the Stockport office 3 days per week
