JOB- Production Supervisor
LOCATION- Bury St Edmunds
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Premier Engineering is currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in Bury St Edmunds. This role is ideal for an experienced team leader or supervisor with a strong background in production and a passion for driving performance and quality on the shop floor.
The Production Supervisor will ideally have the following attributes:
* Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a manufacturing or production environment
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
* Ability to monitor and drive KPIs, quality targets, and health & safety standards
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
* Good understanding of lean manufacturing principles is desirable
The Production Supervisor role will involve:
* Overseeing daily production activities and ensuring output targets are met
* Managing and supporting a team of operators and technicians
* Monitoring product quality, workflow, and equipment utilisation
* Driving a strong culture of health & safety, quality, and productivity
* Supporting training and development of team members
* Working closely with planning, engineering, and quality departments
* Contributing to process improvement and efficiency initiatives
