Job Description
An operationally focused Management Accountant role has been newly created - its operationally focused, away from the standard reporting cycles and a true "no day will be the same" opportunity. It also offers great advancement opportunities as this position has partially been created with succession planning in mind.
This manufacturing business, part of a global group, is going through an exciting transition period and ensuring that finance is a central part of this will be a large part of your initial remit. There's also a new ERP system launching in the next 12 - 18 months which will facilitate greater management information - and you'll be at the heart of it! There are many aspects to this role including:
· Partnering across all key aspects of the business including operations, warehousing, supply chain to understand risks and opportunities and challenging the status quo
· Creating analytical reports to feed into key decision making including yield and waste, better understanding of labour and material costs
· Partnering across all key aspects of the business including operations, warehousing, supply chain to understand risks and opportunities and challenging the status quo
· Working closely with the commercial department to identify new opportunities, better understanding of outputs and throughputs
· Supporting the monthly forecasting, regular re-forecasting and annual budgets
This would suit an ambitious part/nearly or newly CIMA qualified accountant who has solid management accounting skills but looking for something more operationally focussed. Strong interpersonal skills are essential - you'll be a key point of contact for the senior leadership team and the finance representative in key operational management meetings.
