About The Role
We are looking for a Care Team Leader who cares about making every moment matter for the people we support. Our residential service is about helping people to get out in the community and make the most of their time at home.
Role Details
* Role: Team Leader
* Location: Murton
* Shifts: Days, nights, weekends
* Hours: Full‑time, 40 hours per week

About you
Are you enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people in a way which respects their dignity?
You will need to be adaptable and flexible, with excellent communication skills, and able to work as part of our team. In addition, it is desirable to have:
* Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge.
* Hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
The Role
* To provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting individuality and enabling appropriate choices in line with support plans.
* Promote health, well‑being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs in an inclusive way.
* Facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting, walks, shopping, and other recreational activities.
* General housekeeping duties including shopping, domestic duties and personal care elements.
* Complete a range of records and documents.

About The Service
We are a residential care home in the heart of Murton, County Durham, providing 24/7 support and care to 10 people with learning disabilities and/or autism. We promote independence with a person‑centred approach, open and honest communication and regular contact with relatives.
