Overview
Digital Communications Officer role at Gloucestershire County Council. This position involves delivering high quality, engaging photography, video and digital content and managing web and digital platforms. The role requires communicating with a variety of audiences to ensure Fire and Rescue Service messages are understood and engaged with. Hybrid working is available with 2 days a week in the Gloucester office.
Base pay range
This is a Gloucestershire County Council job. The salary range is £30,024 - £32,597 per annum, with pay based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
* Create, schedule, and manage social media posts; use analytics to monitor campaign performance.
* Capture and direct photography and video content; edit and produce engaging materials that convey messages clearly and under tight deadlines.
* Write and publish content for websites and intranets; manage email campaigns and newsletters.
* Ensure accessibility guidance is followed across digital content.
* Travel across the county to capture photographs and videos; a driver’s license and access to a car are advantageous.
About You
* Proactive, enthusiastic, and creative with experience in digital communications.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating through digital channels.
* Experience creating, scheduling, and managing social media posts; ability to use analytics.
* Confident in taking and directing photography and video content; experience in editing and producing content to deadlines.
* Experience writing and publishing content for websites and intranets; able to manage email campaigns and understand accessibility guidance.

Hybrid working is available for this role, with 2 days a week required in the Shire Hall / Quayside office in Gloucester.
