Job Overview
A typical day will involve completing eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations. You will work alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards. Due to our extended service contracts with the NHS, we are committed to delivering a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions and will support you to gain any additional accreditations you may need to deliver these services. We are passionate about providing all the training necessary to fulfil your role and enhance your skills, with a fantastic CPD programme and protected time for further accreditations funded by Asda. Professional development programmes are available, and GOC‑registered professionals may supervise students, enhancing skills and supporting the next generation of optical professionals. In‑store, regional and home office teams fully support you in all aspects of your role, whether your query is clinical or service based; we are always on hand to offer expert advice and support.
