We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef to lead our team.
You will be responsible for managing the food operation at a busy call centre, overseeing a team of 6, including a commis chef, and working closely with the location manager. The site serves 600-1000 people in a 24-hour period, with 90-130 hot meals at lunch and popular breakfast options. This role is ideal for a sous chef aiming to step into a head chef position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Head Chef to make a mark in the food service industry and set new standards in workplace hospitality.
Job Description
WHAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY:
* Plan, prepare, cook, and present food to the required standards
* Enhance the company’s reputation for excellent food and service
* Control portion sizes and monitor waste
* Manage supplies, stock takes, and food rotation
* Maintain records related to food production and supplier info
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Food Safety standards
* Set objectives and oversee daily kitchen operations
* Assess employee performance and identify training needs
* Hold regular team meetings to communicate targets and standards
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
* Passion for food
* Good secondary education
* NVQ qualification or equivalent
* Progressive catering experience
* Basic and Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificates
* Strong supervisory skills
* Customer service passion
