About the role
General Practitioner – Out of hours at Practice Plus Group, located near Brixton underground station. The role is part‑time, working Saturdays from 8am to 4pm (8 hours per week). The salary is up to £129,500 full‑time equivalent per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality primary care to a diverse group of patients within a secure prison environment.
* Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis, and make timely decisions regarding future management.
* Prescribe and manage medications for same‑day, leaver, acute health needs and substance misuse detox.
* Support the wider health team and contribute to clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications
* MBChB or MBBS.
* Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List.
* Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal and continuing professional development.
* Experience as a General Practitioner in community general practice.
* Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse.
* RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or preparation to undertake these qualifications.
