Personal Assistant / Support Worker - Supporting a young Man with Autism.
The role involves supporting him to develop confidence, independence and social opportunities within the local community, while helping him access enjoyable and meaningful activities. You will have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in a young person's life by building a positive, trusting and rewarding relationship.
Our son can be sensitive to loud noises and does not like unexpected physical contact, so a calm, understanding and autism-aware approach is essential. Support with some personal care and day-to-day guidance will also be required.
We are looking for someone who is:
A driver with their own vehicle and business insurance is essential.
DBS and reference checks will be required for this role (cost covered by the local authority).
