We are seeking a Higher Level Teacher Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated and supportive team working at Meon Junior School, part of Meon Way Federation. In this vital role, you will: • Deliver lessons to cover teacher PPA time and training • Work alongside class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils, promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion • Support individual pupils or small groups to access the curriculum and engage actively in their learning • Play a crucial role in both classroom-based and wider school activities You will be an integral part of the school community, making a tangible difference every day. What you will need to succeed: For a full list of responsibilities please see the attached job description A HLTA qualification would be desirable or the attribute to work towards obtaining this Previous experience in Key Stage 1 or/and Key Stage 2 Passionate about inclusive education with the ability to support all learners A team player with initiative, able to work collaboratively while also demonstrating independence Well-developed interpersonal skills in order to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people including pupils, staff, parents and external professionals. An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
