We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based in Norwich.
Location: Whitlingham, Norwich
Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
In this role, you will be working on our Anglian Water framework in the IOS team (Integrated Operational Solutions) who work across multiple disciplines including Civils, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation on water recycling solutions and the clean water base.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Commercial Manager, you'll be providing leadership and management of the commercial function with overall responsibility for implementing commercial strategy to deliver successful commercial outcomes by maximising value, reducing cost, budget management and managing risk in a safe ethical manner.
Your day to day will include:
* Maintaining and sustaining the collaborative environment to enable all staff to carry out their work in line with the IOS vision.
* Ensuring appropriate commercial resourcing, capacity and capability against varying work volume demand.
* Supporting and being accountable to the Framework Manager for delivery of agreed programme commercial targets ensuring a robust monthly framework/contract review process is in place.
What are we looking for?
This role of Commercial Manager is great for you if you hold:
* A relevant Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
* Demonstrable extensive experience in a senior commercial capacity within a Tier 1 main contracting environment managing teams of significant size, ideally within the water or utilities sector.
* Chartered status in relevant professional body or appropriate professional qualification.
* Excellent overall contractual awareness with strong understanding of NEC, JCT conditions, arbitration and adjudication processes.
* Good commercial reporting track record, ability to produce board level reports for the region accurately outlining the business commercial position, risks and opportunities.
* Experience in developing and implementing wider commercial strategies to drive work winning, business unit growth and profitability.
* Experience in procurement and working alongside procurement strategy to implement programme and business procurement strategy goals.
* High level technical, communication and IT skills.
* Proven advanced self-management skills.
* Full driving licence.
