We're recruiting Primary Mental Health Support Assistants to work 1:1 with young students needing help with emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and confidence in the classroom.
Leader Education is working with supportive primary schools across
Wakefield
to recruit dedicated individuals who can provide consistent, nurturing support to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
The Role
This is a
full-time, long-term position (Monday–Friday)
where you will work closely with identified pupils on a 1:1 basis.
You Will
* Provide consistent emotional and behavioural support
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* Support regulation, routines, and classroom engagement
* Implement behaviour and wellbeing strategies
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
* Promote confidence, resilience, and independence
Pupils may present with SEMH needs, anxiety, attachment needs, ADHD, or Autism (ASC).

* Behaviour or pastoral support
Previous School Experience Is Helpful But Not Essential.
