Control Systems Engineer
Location: Liverpool

What will you be doing?
* Designing and developing control systems using Siemens (S7, TIA Portal, WinCC) and Allen Bradley (RSLogix, Studio 5000)
* Developing and maintaining SCADA systems including Ignition and WinCC Professional
* Producing Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and Software Design Specifications (SDS)
* Creating and maintaining standard software blocks
* Supporting FATs, installation, testing and commissioning on site
* Troubleshooting and resolving control system issues
* Ensuring compliance with industry standards including ATEX, GAMP, FDA and SIL
Where you'll be doing it
You’ll be joining a specialist engineering business delivering automated pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. The team works closely across mechanical, process and EC&I disciplines to deliver safe, validated and efficient control systems in a highly regulated environment.
What you'll need:
* Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Automation or similar
* Experience in panel design, instrumentation or automation projects
* Strong knowledge of Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC systems
* Familiarity with SCADA and HMI platforms
* Experience producing structured control system documentation packs
* Solid problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills
* Willingness to travel to client sites, including occasional international travel
