*Job Overview*Auto Bodytech are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our Accident and Service Centre. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using various hand and power tools. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. The successful applicant will also demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as they will interact with clients.*Duties** Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using schematics and technical manuals* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systems* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and disassembly of vehicle components* Conduct equipment repair tasks as necessary to ensure optimal performance* Carry out welding tasks for necessary repairs or modifications* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to uphold safety standards* Assist customers with inquiries regarding their vehicles and provide exceptional service throughout the repair process* Engage in heavy lifting as required during the repair or maintenance of vehicles* Carry out MOT Repairs* Carry out works on Ambulance trust vehicles* Ability to work effectively in a team to ensure high standards of customer care and satisfaction*Qualifications** Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance* Preferred qualification NVQ level 3 Vehicle technician* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment* Familiarity with schematics for diagnosing vehicle issues* Able to prioritise* Full clean driving license C1 desirable* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients* Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently* Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essentialIf you are passionate about vehicles and possess the necessary skills to excel as a Vehicle Technician, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
