Funded Master’s by Research Studentship in Chemistry at the University of Kent
Applications are invited for an internally funded Master’s by Research studentship within the School of Natural Sciences to develop and investigate solution-processable porous materials for catalysis.
The work involves making extrinsic porous organic molecular materials based on pyrrolic-macrocycles. This project will explore synthetic modifications of these scaffolds to generate and characterise new porous materials with tuneable physicochemical properties, and applications in catalysis will be explored.
The project funding will cover the tuition and bench fees for a single home student (international students will not be eligible for this funding). It is anticipated that the successful applicant will start in January 2026.
For further information about this project and how to apply please contact Dr Mandeep Chahal directly at m.k.chahal@kent.ac.uk before Friday 21st November 2025.
