Summary
Acorn Engineering are seeking a highly organised and proactive Part time Office Administrator to support our operations and compliance functions. This role is vital in maintaining our supplier and contractor records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting internal administrative processes.

One Week earlies 7-15.30, One-week lates 9-17.30 and they just alternate.

Responsibilities
* Supply Chain Management: Onboarding new contractors, verifying documentation, and maintaining compliance records
* Compliance Monitoring: Chasing insurance, accreditations, and waste transfer licences; conducting ad-hoc checks based on legislation changes
* Documentation & Reviews: Managing renewal questionnaires, supplier and subcontractor reviews, and maintaining accurate records
* Health & Safety Coordination: Liaising with external consultants (PRB) to update COSHH assessments, risk assessments, and method statements
* Internal Support: Managing uniform and PPE orders, stationery, post, and calibration logs
* Reporting & Communication: Maintaining the near miss log, producing monthly newsletters, and coordinating customer satisfaction surveys
* Administrative Duties: Supporting directors with community initiatives, managing the admin rota, and general office tasks
* System Maintenance: Ensuring all documentation in “The Plant Room” is current and accessible
Skills & Knowledge
* Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organisation
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office systems
* Experience in document management, record-keeping, and administrative workflows
* Ability to coordinate meetings, prepare reports, and assist with event planning
* Accurate data entry and maintenance across systems and databases
