Advanced Practitioner - Adolescent Safeguarding Team (Dudley)Lead the way in protecting vulnerable young people.Dudley Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Adolescent Safeguarding Team. This is a challenging and rewarding role for a social work professional with a proven track record in safeguarding vulnerable adolescents.About the Role:
* Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on complex safeguarding cases involving adolescents.
* Conduct thorough and timely assessments, developing and implementing effective safeguarding plans.
* Mentor and support junior social workers, promoting best practice and professional development.
* Lead on complex cases, often involving multiple agencies and challenging circumstances.
* Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making within the team.
* Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives, ensuring continuous quality improvement.
Requirements:
* Registered with Social Care England.
* Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience in adolescent safeguarding is essential. Proven experience in a supervisory or advanced practice role is highly desirable.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to adolescent safeguarding.
* Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
* Ability to build rapport and trust with young people and their families.
* Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
