We’re now looking for a highly organised, proactive and people‑focused Estates Coordinator to join our team on a 12‑month fixed term contract, supporting healthcare sites across North East Essex. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on coordination, communication and customer engagement within a multi‑site environment.
About the Role
As an Estates Coordinator, you will act as the key point of contact for customers and stakeholders across a portfolio of approximately 8–10 healthcare sites. Working closely with internal delivery teams and external partners, you’ll coordinate estates activity, ensure issues are logged and managed through agreed systems, and support the smooth day‑to‑day operation of our estates
This is a hybrid role, combining home working with regular site visits and on‑site meetings at least once per week. Your contractual hub will be Clacton, although the role will focus on the wider North East Essex patch.
The role is coordination‑focused enquiring strong organisation, confidence using systems, and the ability to manage relationships and sometimes challenging conversations professionally.
Who You Are
You are a self‑motivated coordinator with strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset. You take pride in getting things right, enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders, and can manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
You may already have estates or facilities experience, or you may come from a strong customer service or coordination background with transferable skills — attitude and approach are key.
Key Responsibilities
1. Acting as the first point of contact for customers across a portfolio of healthcare sites
2. Coordinating estates and facilities activities, ensuring tasks are logged, tracked and updated through CAFM or workflow systems
3. Hosting and attending site meetings, maintaining strong relationships with customers and colleagues
4. Monitoring service delivery and escalating issues where required to ensure timely resolution
5. Supporting compliance activity across sites, including record‑keeping and documentation
6. Providing cover and support for other Estates Coordinators when required, including Clacton
7. Managing multiple activities simultaneously while prioritising customer impact
8. Using IT systems confidently to manage data, reports and communications
9. Can handle routine tasks and social interactions within a work environment. Ability to absorb policy and guidance necessary for the role.
Experience and Skills
Essential
10. Experience in Estates, Facilities Management or asset‑related coordination roles
11. Confidence using IT systems and digital tools
12. Full UK driving licence and ability to travel regularly between sites
Desirable:
13. Knowledge of healthcare or multi‑site environments
14. Awareness of compliance processes (e.g. water management)
15. IOSH or health & safety training (training can be provided)
Where You’ll Be
This is a hybrid role with travel across North East Essex required with your hub being Clacton Hospital
The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) on a 12‑month fixed term contract, with flexibility available around working patterns.
